Hi everyone!

The final results can be found at the bottom of this post.

My Reviews

Quote:2000 years ago we were all tribal.
Then came the missionaries with their f***ing bible.

This my favourite signature from ralgith.
It might not be your favourite since you might be religious.
I am not religious and I'm against religion, and in my opinion this signature describes part of what I think.

I'll give it 4 points.

-------------------------------------------------------------------

This my favourite signature from CO_ol.
I love the colours + effects and the background matches the rest of the image perfectly.
I'll give it 5 points.

-------------------------------------------------------------------

This my favourite signature from rockhead.
Since I love Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, I immediately liked this one once I saw it.
The name "ROCKHEAD" just fits extremely well with the rest of the image.
I'll give it 4 points.

-------------------------------------------------------------------

This my favourite signature from SXYxJeff.
The colours were very well chosen and so did the font.
Great effects by the way!
I'll give it 5 points.

-------------------------------------------------------------------

This my favourite signature from trigger_ftu.
I don't like this signature because of the graphics, it doesn't even look as good as CO_ol's or SXYxJeff's signatures, but I like it because of what's written on it.
"Times change, but Gamers don't". Nice quote and you used it pretty well.
I'll give it 4 points.

-------------------------------------------------------------------

Since this is the only signature entered by Walkman 5.0, it is the one I have to review.
In my opinion, you could have worked harder on this one since it was your only entry.
The effects are cool but it looks like Shakira is stretched (at least to me it does).
The font needs some work too, probably move it a bit to the bottom.
I'll give it 3 points.

-------------------------------------------------------------------

jo3_sum's Reviews

-------------------------------------------------------------------
ralgith

Quote:best saying/quote- "2000 years ago we were all tribal.
Then came the missionaries with their f***ing bible."

I thought this was really thought provoking. It opened up an often hidden perspective for those people
who inherited or experienced foreign assimilation.
It quickly and ironicly suggests to "civilized" beings that tribal is far better than their foreign counterparts' way of life;
concluding, the natives' way of life doesn't suffice a "modern" society.
Tribes can be thought as a more natural or innocent society while the missionaries represents a more experienced society.
Once a society becomes "experienced" they can never go back. Just like a human who enters adulthood from childhood.
One who is already experienced may view the natives as a lack of ability to take responsibility and grow up(modernism).
Nevertheless, it doesn't prove that the native's society wasn't equally advance.
The natives may idealize themselves as a sacred and unspoiled society from different and possibly dangerous thinking and acting the ways of the missionaries,
and missionaries may view the natives as dangerous backward thinkers. Leading into to an ultimate power struggle.
And who carried more diseases? The "experienced".
It's all about perspective.
Score: 5/5

-------------------------------------------------------------------
Walkman

This picture slightly fails to impress me. The image is small. Shakira is transparent.
The demonstrations of the glow effect are repetitive. It does have a nice color scheme with the tan body and the blue and slightly purple lines.
Although the lines and the font suit each other, they are too small and blurred. The picture seems empty.
This could easily be done in less than 10 minutes. Don't give up.
Score: 2/5

-------------------------------------------------------------------
CO_ol

Best picture=PSP
The psp appears to be floating or flying through an air current like some angelic being. The sides lists myriad possibilities a psp which utilized or is associated.
Through experience, the chosen font isn't by accident. Every detail in the image has a purpose. This image represents a bit of this site's history during a major psp phase. The only flaw I see the seemly monochromatic glow distracts the viewer and wastes valuable space on image.
Score: 4/5

-------------------------------------------------------------------
rockhead

Best picture=Skeleton
This image is very interesting. Although, I do not know what the skeleton references. It does poses a darkside and double sided feeling. Especially the placement of the
skeleton. Although, it doesn't interest enough because the darkness and the lack texture on the left. I look back and forward but there is nothing on the left.
Score: 3/5

-------------------------------------------------------------------
SXYxJeff

Best picture=Gray Scaled
This image is very professionally created. SXYxJeff easily creates depth within the image with a harder than usual gray scaled palette.
Although this image very appeasing the eye, I can only give this an aesthetic appreciation.
Score: 4/5

-------------------------------------------------------------------
trigger_ftu

Best picture=Times change but gamers don't
Trig brings an interesting idea. He suggests that gamers always wanted the same effect from a game, but the times
produced new ways of creating this effect, enjoyment and entertainment. Whether or not current games focus on graphics as an indirect means to produce "fun," may actually not entertain gamers. Nevertheless, this image has meaning, but I find the image to be unappealing with the use of the fades and stagnate fonts overshadows the content.
Score: 2/5

Hi.

My PSP's screen is almost dead, when I slightly put a finger on the screen it turns black, and I have to restart. So I'm thinking about modding it (hardware) with LED lights, faceplates and stuff like that. I tried to google for a site that sells cheap PSP Modding stuff, but with no luck...
Anyone that knows about a site? Please tell me.

(I really need to switch out the screen first tho xD)
